25 Cult Beauty Products From The 2010s We'll Still Be Obsessed With In 20 Years
I don't know about you, but I spend a lot of time reminiscing about the best beauty trends from the '90s (and wishing that I had known at the time to buy backups of my favorite products). Which got me thinking: What are the cult beauty products from the 2010s that I'll wish I had backups of 20 years from now? If you're already a makeup hoarder, it only makes sense to stock up on the must-haves of the past six years. You know, just in case you won't be able to have them anymore sometime in the future.
Which, for beauty junkies, is one of the scariest thoughts. Real talk: What would you do if your holy grail products no longer existed? Sometimes, in my dreams, I can still smell my favorite mocha and pink lemonade-flavored lip glosses from back in the day. And yes, there are times when I think I would give almost anything to have them back in my life. So you can live with no beauty regrets, here are 25 beauty products that you should probably always have a backup of, just in case there ever comes a time when you can no longer get your hands on them.
1. Your Favorite Bath & Body Works Scent
You may have already learned the hard way to not fall in love with a scent from B&BW without stocking up on backups for when they inevitably discontinue the scent. If you find a new favorite, don't make the same mistake twice.
2. Essie Bikini So Teeny
This summertime-staple polish better be in it for the long haul.
3. NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo
AKA the dynamic duo of makeup.
4. Urban Decay Naked Palettes
The eyeshadow palette that launched 1000 eyeshadow palettes.
5. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
The closest we've come to filters IRL.
There's no way this revolutionary sponge would go anywhere, right?
7. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment
The best lemony lip balm of all time.
8. MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish
IMO, the highlighter obsession started with this one.
9. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
The name is a little presumptuous but this mascara is a staple.
10. Elizabeth & James Nirvana White & Black
These perfumes shot to cult-favorite status so quickly, they're basically the must-have scents of the 2010s.
11. eos Lip Balm
Who isn't obsessed with these little balls of goodness?
12. MAC Soar/Whirl Lipliner
Kylie Jenner may have shot these shades into popularity, but the perfect, mauve tones made them handbag staples.
13. Bumble And Bumble Surf Spray
The go-to for beachy waves.
14. OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
I'm convinced this was everyone's favorite vampy nail shade at one point or another.
15. Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Basically the perfect powder to contour and bronze almost any skin tone.
16. Philosophy Purity Cleanser
Because when you use something everyday, you couldn't possibly go without it, right?
17. Kat Von D Lolita Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
The liquid lipstick so loved they had to make a Lolita II.
18. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
Once you create makeup scented like chocolate, you better never take it away.
19. Benefit They're Real! Lengthening Mascara
What would the world do without insanely long lashes?
20. NARS Lipgloss in Turkish Delight
Purses come and go, but this milky-pink gloss always has a place in every one.
21. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze
Frankly, just one of the best multipurpose products there is. Efficiency still exists in the future, I hope.
22. MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo
The most universally-flattering red just has to stick around forever.
23. GLAMGLOW SuperMud Clearing Treatment
GLAMGLOW is basically the breakout mask line of the 2010s, and their clearing treatment is seriously loved.
24. Maybelline Baby Lips
Packaging and flavors that tug at the heartstrings of millennials everywhere.
25. Batiste Dry Shampoo
Pretty much the end-all dry shampoo.
Fingers crossed these products will just be here for all of eternity though, and we won't have to worry about bunkers full of backup beauty products. (Although, how cool would that be?)
