'The Hills' Anniversary Special Trailer Is Here

Staring at the The Hills retrospective trailer before you, look at your dusty laptop screen, let the sun (or, you know, the fluorescent lighting in your office) illuminate the video, reaching for a The Hills retrospective in the distance, so close we can almost taste it: Praise the gods of scripted-reality television above, because a The Hills 10-year anniversary special is a) actually happening and b) will air a week from today. Nope, that tweet-promise Lauren Conrad made back in May was not a figment of our collective imagination; the former Teen Vogue intern is really heading back to MTV. This week, MTV International released the The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now trailer, and yeah, it's about as beautiful as one of LC's headbands. (h/t Elite Daily).

In the clip, the reality television star-turned-fashion designer promises the program will “take a look back at the show and reveal things that we haven’t talked about before." Oh, but what will the annispesh reveal?! Will LC tell us exactly how many grains of sand ended up in Justin-Bobby Brescia's beach combat boots? Will LC share her definitive ranking of all of the flavored ketchups served at Ketchup (rest in peace, you scarlet dream of a restaurant)? Will LC reveal how much mascara it takes to create the perfect mascara tear? Will us normies finally be made privy to the perfect mascara tear recipe!?!?!?!

The hour-long special is slated to premiere in the U.S. on Tuesday Aug. 2 on MTV (sorry, UK Hills fans, but it looks like you'll have to wait until the 7th).
