Carly & Evan's 'BiP' Pepper Kiss Is Forever

Guys, Bachelor In Paradise is truly the gift that keeps giving. It's reality television gold. This season fans have seen some old favorites return, like Carly Waddell, who many will remember was pretty tragically jilted by Kirk DeWindt on last season's Bachelor In Paradise. Everyone has been rooting for Carly to find someone who will treat her right and I thought she had possibly found a contender in Evan until she said a lot of horrible things about him. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they are going to be picking out china patterns anytime soon, even if she does seem to be slowly climbing on the "Evan train." But, happily ever after aside, Carly and Evan did set a Guinness World Record on Bachelor in Paradise.

Yeah, you heard that right. What did they do to break the record? Well, they had the longest, hottest kiss ever. Mexico is home to the habanero pepper and Chris Harrison thought it would be a great idea to have Evan and Carly's date be a competition to kiss for 90 seconds (the previous record) after eating the hottest pepper. Will they actually appear in the World Records book, though? Bustle reached out to a representative for the Guinness World Records company and was told that the BiP duo might not see their names in print for awhile.

"The 2017 Edition of our book, which launches in September, is already closed, but there is a possibility they will appear in future editions of our book," PR manager Kristen Ott says in an email statement. "We recognize over 40,000 records and approximately 4,000 make it into the book each year."

But, book or no book, Carly and Evan do appear on the official Guinness Records site, and they did indeed break the record on June 11, 2016 for "longest habanero pepper kiss" at a whopping 1 minute and 41 seconds.

Of course, this is going to forever link them, which probably isn't something that Carly likely is super psyched about. Unfortunately, after their first date, Carly was less than enthused about their kiss. She literally said that Evan gave her, "erectile dysfunction" (because, he's an ED specialist, get it?), and then she threw up after their kiss. These two may not have a happy ending in love together, but, hey, how many people can say they set a Guinness World Record, right?
