Peek Photos Of UD's Amazing New Palette

by Jessica Willingham

Just when you thought you didn't need more eyeshadow, you saw photos of Urban Decay's NAKED Ultimate Basics Palette pop up on your Instagram feed, and you need it all. It's hard to turn down 12 brand new shades from one of beauty's biggest brands, especially something as necessary as basic matte shadows. If you need more convincing to buy this palette, here's a complete look at the new UD collection.

The Urban Decay NAKED Ultimate Basics Palette goes on sale on September 18 and retails for $55. It features twelve never-before-seen shadows, 11 of which are matte with one demi-matte hue that doubles as a highlighter. That's less than $5 per shadow for shades any skin tone can wear every day, no matter the occasion. Sounds like a must-have, right?

The palette was created after UD crowd-sourced ideas for its next product. Beauty Junkies and fans everywhere begged for an all matte palette that could pair easily with the NAKED palettes they already owned. The result was a perfectly balanced palette that compliments all eye colors and skin tones. There are both warm and cool toned shades, and a couple deep jewel tones to create more dramatic looks. The palette also comes with a dual-ended application brush, so you truly have everything you need in one palette.

Look how huge that mirror is! I love the thoughtful square packaging, which is ideal for doing makeup on the go. The mirror gives you plenty of room to work no matter where you are, and the tough exterior protects your product.

Pinky, peachy, and plum tones can be built up or down depending on your skin tone. The light colors are beautiful on fair skin, and can be layered on to standout on deep complexions. These are also beautiful shades for everyday wear at the office — you can create a quick, complete look with a top row without worrying the colors aren't complimentary.

Rich browns and burnt orange have fall written all over them. Extra Bitter is a great shade for layering under browns, because the warmth really makes your eyes pop. The entire bottom row of the NAKED Ultimate Basics Palette features deeper, richer shades for more dramatic looks.

The palette's brush is dual-ended for both blending and smudging, so you can take a single brush with you on your trip.

Truly, this palette has all the foundation shades to create any look.

So. Pretty.

It's rare to find a neutral matte palette with this much depth and range.

Is it September 18 yet?
