How Long Is The 2016 VMA Red Carpet? Set Aside Some Time To Watch

I’m just going to come right out and say it. You need to go ahead and cancel your plans for August 28. Because the only thing you’re going to want do is watch the 2016 VMAs. And if you’re planning when to order takeout, you’ll need to answer this very important question. How long is the 2016 VMA red carpet? I’m glad you asked. Because there’s nothing more important than food and fashion.

Based on a schedule laid out on the official MTV VMA website, the live red carpet begins at 6:15 p.m. ET/3:15 p/.m. PT. It is slated to last two hours and 45 minutes. So, there’s going to be plenty of time to eat on the couch and stare at all of the beautiful outfits. The only thing better than the music will be the fashions that come through.

You can watch the action live on MTV as well as live-stream it on the VMA 2016 website. Whether you’re set up in front of your laptop or your TV, you’re not going to want to miss celebrities such as Kanye West, Rihanna and Britney Spears enter Madison Square Gardens. I don’t know about you, but I can hardly wait.

Not only will Spears be on the red carpet, she'll also be taking the stage this year.

Th same goes for Nicki Minaj. I'm just as excited to see what she'll wear as I am to hear her perform with Ariana Grande.

Of course, this epic couple will be strutting their stuff down the VMA carpet.

And jamming along with everyone else in the audience.

Because with performances from Rihanna and more, there's plenty of good music headed your way.

So, get ready for two hours and 45 minutes of fashionable entrances and a night full of music. It just doesn't get better than that!
