How To Donate To Stand Up To Cancer

by Leah Marilla Thomas

Friday night, stars will gather for a gigantic telethon across multiple networks for the fifth time. Stand Up To Cancer raises money, awareness, and connectivity by reminding us that we are all connected to cancer. How can you support this cause? Even if you don't want to call during the show, it's pretty easy to donate to Stand Up To Cancer at their website.

You can donate online, sign up for monthly donations, or even mail a check at the address provided: Stand Up To Cancer, P.O. Box 843721, Los Angeles, CA 90084-3721 with checks made out to "SU2C." They also have SU2C merchandise for sale, if that's more your donation style. There are plenty of accessible options, which is one of the reasons why they raise so much money for this awesome cause.

As for Friday's event, who will be there? Past presenters have included Gwyneth Paltrow and Katie Couric, who took charge in 2014. There will be plenty of appearances and performances. This year's executive producer is Bradley Cooper, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Here are some of the stars that you can look forward to seeing, or maybe even talking to while you donate, at Stand Up To Cancer this year.

Joe Biden

The Vice President will be sharing his late son Beau's story.

Keith Urban

Along with Little Big Town and Dirks Bentley, he will be performing a Bowie tribute.

Sonequa Martin-Green

The Walking Dead star is always stylish and fun.

Anna Kendrick

Presuming that she's on the telethon panel, I would say that Kendrick might be the most relatable person who could answer your call.

Ben Affleck

Hopefully he'll be in a better mood.

Viola Davis

If anyone can command a room, it's Viola Davis. If we're placing fundraising bets, mine are on her.

Josh Gad

Your favorite Disney star should bring a laugh or two.

Dave Franco

As long as this telethon doesn't turn into a game of Nerve, I'm cool.

Ken Jeong

I miss Community. I miss him.

Matthew McConaughey

Sounds good, sounds good, sounds good.

Emma Stone

With details about La La Land, right? Please?

Mel B

Oh, knowing how much Emma Stone loves the Spice Girls, this should be fun.

Jon Hamm & Kristin Wiig

Together again!

Greg Grunberg

Oh, so is this being produced by J. J. Abrams? Those BFFs are never too far apart.

Zach Galifianakis

Yes, more comedians please. It is called "Stand Up" to Cancer, after all.

Matt Bomer

Fingers crossed that the rest of the Magic Mike cast isn't too far behind.

Niecy Nash

I hate that I'm saying this, but the Scream Queens star is always a scream!

Celine Dion

Finally, this megastar will be the evening's other featured performer. That doesn't even begin to cover the number of stars, or potentially surprise guests, that will be included at Stand Up For Cancer. It's looking out to be an excellent event — and the fact that donating is so easy does not hurt.
