Big Brother 18 has come to an end and Nicole has been crowned the winner. While Nicole's two-season run leading up to her win has been impressive, there's no denying that a huge part of her success came from forming a partnership with Corey that would take the two of them to the end of the season. In an interview after the finale, Corey tells Bustle, "I’m so proud of Nicole, she deserves [the win]," which shouldn't surprise anyone who watched this season. Nicole, for her part, feels that "[People like Corey are] very few and far between." There's clearly a connection between the two, but will Nicole and Corey stay together after Big Brother?
Nicole tells Bustle that the future of Nicorey isn't certain. "I don’t know! I think he’s a great guy and he helped me a lot through this game and he had my back and I don’t think I could find a more genuine person," she says of her showmance partner. "At least we’ll be best friends forever ... He’s loyal and everything about him I think is great. I can’t say one negative thing about him."
Although they both clearly care for one another, the obstacles between Corey and Nicole may be insurmountable. One obstacle, in particular, is the true culprit here, and that's the sheer distance between Corey and Nicole now that they're not living in the same house.
"That would be hard," Nicole says of the distance, and Corey seems to agree. "It sucks that she lives so far in Michigan," he says. "She’s been my best friend for the past 99 days and even when I was out of the house, when I got evicted, I was kinda like, ‘Dang, I miss Nicole.’" Though they may live far apart, it sounds like the two of them are at least going to try and stay connected to each other. "I definitely wanna hang out with her pretty soon," Corey says. "I’m looking forward to it. I think it’ll be good." But that hanging out may be in friend terms only, with Corey kind of putting dating on the back burner for now. "We’re both recently single, so I don’t know if it’s gonna happen anytime early or anytime soon but no rush, we’re young," he says.
One person who believes that the Nicorey will stay together, however, is Julie Chen, who says, "Well, now that Nicole won, Corey’s probably gonna propose to her. Don’t forget, Jordan won and then afterwards Jeff proposed to her! It took him a while, but he proposed."
Nicorey fans will always have BB18 to look back on and see a budding relationship survive all the obstacles thrown their way in the BB house. Now, whether they can survive them outside the house? Fans will just have to wait and see.
