Taylor & Calvin Could Be Talking Again

It's been a long few months to be a Taylor Swift fan. Not only did her legendary relationship with Calvin Harris end, but then there was her sudden (and confusing) relationship with Tom Hiddleston. And don't even get me started about how bummed I am that there's no new album to look forward to this fall — at least, not yet. I have so many questions about what's really going on with my imaginary BFF, and none of the answers! But fortunately, we may actually be able to get some closure on that first thing I mentioned. According to TMZ, Swift and Harris are reportedly talking again, and before you get too excited, no, it doesn't seem like this means they're getting back together. I wish! (Bustle has reached out to reps for Swift and Harris for comment, but has not yet received a response.)

The site reports that the former couple has recently started texting again as a way to bury the hatchet. No word on who initiated their conversation, but reportedly, this is their way of doing a postmortem on their failed relationship and that they haven't seen each other in person yet. TMZ adds that this is strictly friendship, nothing romantic about it. And as much as I'd love to see them reunite and fall in love all over again, maybe things are better this way.

After what seemed like a total fairytale relationship, their breakup got messy — or that's what it looked like to the rest of us who were totally uninvolved with the situation, anyway. Swift started dating Hiddleston and Harris went on a Twitter rant against Swift after she admitted that she wrote his single with Rihanna, "This Is What You Came For." Things got ugly, and any hope of these two burying the hatchet seemed impossible... until now.

But even though they're not together anymore — and may never be again — it's awesome to hear there's a chance they could have talked things out. It's not easy to talk things out with someone who hurt you, let alone an ex, so it's really mature of them if they did decide to make things right with each other. It may not help me move on from their split (Taylor and Calvin 4ever!) but it probably did help them.

And of course, this is all just reported, since neither half of what used to be known as Tayvin has confirmed or denied that they're talking again. If you need me, I'll be refreshing Twitter, waiting for Harris to post something cryptic about forgiveness.
