Break out the tissues, because the end of Pretty Little Liars is nigh. On Wednesday night, the Pretty Little Liars cast had their final table read and they documented it on social media. Based on the photos, videos, and snaps, it was an extremely emotional time for the entire cast and crew. If die-hard fans of the series, which will take its final bow after Season 7, are upset, just wait until you see how devastated the cast is. Basically, it's the end of an era and when something like that happens major tears, tissues, and emotions are going to be involved.
In August, Lucy Hale (Aria), Troian Bellisario (Spencer), Shay Mitchell (Emily), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Sasha Pieterse (Alison), and showrunner I. Marlene King announced Season 7 is PLL 's last. I think fans pretty much expected it, but it didn't make the news any easier. Clearly, the leading women of the Freeform series feel the same way as fans. When you spend that many years day in and day out with people, they become basically like family. So, when the end finally comes, it's really sad.
Before, during, and after the final table read, the cast and King took to social media to express how they feel about it all. It's definitely hitting them all that PLL's end is literally right around the corner. If you thought you were just going to cry during the series finale, think again, because the following posts are going to require a lot of tissues. You ready?
Troian Prepared Herself
As you can read above, Bellisario prepared herself by sharing a "before" photo. She knew there were going to be too many tears and she couldn't handle it.
Lucy Isn't Ready For The End
Alongside the same photo as Bellisario, Hale expressed in a lengthy caption her thoughts. Her words will make you misty-eyed for sure.
Shay Channeled David Bowie
Now this is how you get people to cry.
Keegan Thanked The Fans
Need a tissue, yet?
Holly Is Beyond Honored
Holly Marie Combs (Ella Montgomery) went as far to steal her name tag to cope.
She Also Took This Photo
Just look at Bellisario and Ian Harding — and all those tissue boxes.
Marlene Barely Made It Through It
This is really emotional, and it's a lot to handle.
Based on these photos, I think it's safe to say you're going to need a lot of tissues for the final episode. You better stock up now.
