Are Kaitlyn & Shawn Still Getting Married?

by Emily Lackey

It’s been over a year since Shawn Booth proposed to Kaitlyn Bristowe during Season 11 of The Bachelorette, but still, the couple has not actually gotten hitched. The lack of wedding talk coming from these two reality stars might have some fans worried that marriage might not be in the cards for them — even though their social media accounts seem to indicate that the duo are just as happy as could be. From the looks of it, these two are just really busy living life and supporting each other in their individual business ventures to worry about everyone else’s wedding timeline for them. But I get it: Despite their apparent happiness, fans may really want to know: Are Kaitlyn and Shawn still getting married?

From the looks of things, I’m guessing yes. Even though there aren’t any signs of bridal shower pictures or bachelor parties on their accounts, it’s clear from the amount of pictures that they post together that these two are still very much in love. But, I know what you’re thinking: That doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re getting married. Which, fine, that’s true. But what the couple has made abundantly clear in the way that they’ve chosen to live their lives post-Bachelorette is that they are determined to do things a little differently.

For instance, consider fact that Booth told US Weekly in February that he was planning on proposing to Bristowe for a second time, away from the cast and crew of ABC’s popular reality television franchise. As much as some Bachelor couples might opt for the public weddings and shows of affection, it’s clear that this couple is going the more traditional route, enjoying their time together as an engaged couple out of the public eye before any official wedding planning begins.

In fact, in August, Booth told E! News that they haven’t even started planning their wedding yet. It seems, from their busy career schedules and publicity events, that this couple is far too busy being in love to set a date just yet. But that doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. With the amount of support that they have for each other’s careers and lives, I have a feeling that these two will be saying “I do” whenever the time is right for them.
