Another Alum Appeared On 'AHS: Roanoke

Just when you think an episode can't possibly get any better after Evan Peters' American Horror Story: Roanoke character is revealed, Ryan Murphy decided to grace us with the return of another special AHS alum. Frances Conroy appeared on AHS: Roanoke and let's just say she could give Kathy Bates' Butcher a run for her money. As for who exactly Frances Conroy's character is, I didn't manage to hear an actual name (correct me if I'm wrong), however, she did go by the title of "Mama." Or at least that's what Elias (who was still alive) was calling her before she ordered her sons to bash his head. So it's safe to say that she's the mother of the folks that tried to outbid Matt on the farmhouse back in Episode 1.

But they've got nothing on their matriarch. You see, evidently the lost Roanoke Colony aren't the only ones who have a penchant for roasting human flesh for a nice little barbecue. Because while Elias may have survived multiple arrows to the chest, his real pain came when Matt and Shelby found him missing a leg courtesy of Mama herself. But she wasn't just doing it for torture... she was actually serving it up to it. And when it didn't taste to her satisfaction, she told her sons to kill him on the spot. (RIP Elias, for real this time!)

Mama went on to explain that she and The Butcher have an arrangement. As long as they allow the Colony to consecrate the land with fresh blood each year, they are left alone. In fact, sometimes they even are the ones to provide the sacrifice for the ghostly settlers. Suffice to say this is one lady who is not to be trifled with under any circumstances. I doubt that's the last we'll see of her.
