Which 'HTGAWM' Star Will Die?

by Lindsay Denninger

How To Get Away With Murder started out Season 3 with a big reveal — someone was going to die. Of course, it wasn't said who it would be, but every week, viewers have gotten more information on who died on HTGAWM after Annalise’s big, beautiful Victorian went up in flames, and slowly, ever so slowly, I’ve been making my own guesses for who is under the sheet on How To Get Away With Murder.

I love the way that this has been revealed, actually — every week, one more person has been shown alive on the screen. We know that it’s not Laurel, it’s not Bonnie, it’s not Annalise, and it’s not Oliver. Of course, How To Get Away With Murder could up and run on its original premise, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. The last tidbit of information that viewers received was that the dead body in the Keating house was a man. That narrows down the list considerably, doesn’t it? We know that Laurel (who was found in the house alive and also pregnant, but that’s another story) will probably live to see another day, and so will Michaela. Until Season 4, at least, when Annalise may kill all of her associates in a blind rage, because really, would you put it past her?

Anyway, there are only a few options on who could be under the sheet at Annalise’s house. Let’s weigh the odds each character will go up to that big law classroom in the sky, shall we?

Wes — 70 Percent Chance Of Death

Honestly, my money is on Wes. He hasn’t really done anything this season. Season 2 was basically all about Wes and his parentage, and now that that’s over with, he’s dating Meggie (yes, that’s her name) and skulking around like usual. Eliminating Wes from How To Get Away With Murder, in my eyes, would add to the show. In Annalise’s eyes, she would be devastated. I think she looks at Wes as her surrogate son, and she may never forgive herself for his death.

Frank — 50 Percent Chance Of Death

Frank is the death-cheater of Annalise’s associates. He’s also a hit man, so he knows how to grab death by the throat and dispose of it carefully. I mean, Annalise hired someone to kill him, and so Frank killed that guy instead. Frank is the vulnerable, gently bearded Chuck Norris of How To Get Away With Murder. Also, now that Laurel is pregnant and I assume the baby is Frank’s (I have no ideas as to who else she could have been sleeping with), I would hope that the show could keep him alive for Laurel’s sake. And Bonnie’s, too, since they also just hooked up. Awkward. Or, the show could kill him and throw all of that into the air. Could go either way.

Connor — 40 Percent Chance Of Death

I’m not really sure that Connor’s death would push How To Get Away With Murder in any particular direction, but I can see how it would affect Oliver. Connor and Oliver just broke up and Connor is managing his pain by sleeping with a lot of college guys. Oliver is pouring himself into his work with Annalise. If Oliver had anything to do with the fire and Connor died, he’d be a mess. If Annalise had something to do with the fire and Connor died, Oliver probably wouldn’t be above revenge. He’s a part of the team now — it’s an initiation.

Asher — 20 Percent Chance Of Death

Asher may have done some bad things in the past, but between working for Annalise and dating (or whatever) Bonnie, I think he’s reforming. He used to be a stupid frat boy, and now, he’s growing into a man. He’s also the only comic relief on the show, and we need him. Asher’s death doesn’t advance the plot, so he stays.

Who will die on How To Get Away With Murder? We’ll just have to wait a few more weeks to find out.
