Watch Joe Biden React To Anthony Weiner — VIDEO

by Natasha Guzmán

The 2016 election is determined to prove all of us who repeatedly find ourselves thinking that it can't get worse, that yes, it can get worse. The latest instance? We now have to hear about Anthony Weiner's connection to Hillary Clinton's email scandal. I thought we were done with Weiner after news of his latest sexting scandal, but he's back to haunt us. During an interview with CNN, Joe Biden bluntly expressed his disdain for Weiner, and his reaction was all of us:

Michael Smerconish: I'd be remiss if I didn't note that if she had released all the emails from the get-go, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Joe Biden: Well, that's true, but I don't know where these emails came from —

MS: Anthony Weiner.

JB: Well, oh God. Anthony Weiner, um, I should not comment on Anthony Weiner. I'm not a big fan, and I wasn't before he got in trouble, so I shouldn't comment on Anthony Weiner.

When it came to the investigation in general, Biden agreed with Clinton's insistence that the FBI release all the information recently found. “I think Hillary, if she said what I’m told she said, is correct," Biden said. "Release the emails for the whole world to see. The whole world to see. They can continue their investigation, and to the best of my knowledge it won't prejudice the investigation."

He also gave his view of the vague language used in Comey's letter to Congress announcing this development. "That's sort of the stilted language that the agency always uses, and it doesn't mean anything, and so it's unfortunate."

Let's hope we'll be given a reprieve from any more controversies after the news cycle surrounding this story tires itself out. Until then, I'll look to Biden for his apt reactions to the bizarre happenings of this election, because, honestly, we share the same sentiments.
