Taylor Swift's Halloween Costume Wins Everything

One of my favorite parts of Halloween — besides dressing up and eating a million of those tiny Snickers bars — is watching the social media posts roll in from my favorite celebrities to see how they're celebrating the holiday. And in the category of costumes, we officially have 2016's winner. Taylor Swift wore Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool costume for Halloween, and just in case that hasn't sunk in, let me repeat that for you. She didn't go to Party City and grab a Deadpool costume like the rest of us would have. Nope, she borrowed the legit costume from the movie instead. Is that not the coolest thing ever?!

Swift first showed off her new duds on Instagram, when she shared photos from a Halloween party she threw in New York with a few of her friends, including Gigi Hadid, Camila Cabello, and Martha Hunt. At first, I saw the pics, and thought, "oh, Taylor was Deadpool for Halloween! Sweet!" But then, I kept scrolling and realized what was happening and pretty much couldn't believe it. The photos she's shared of their night together are obviously adorable — and the costume totally suits her. And have I mentioned that I'm really, really jealous?

Don't get me wrong, a lot of these costumes are awesome. Hunt as Marcia Brady with the broken nose and football? So original! And I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to Cabello's cat lady getup, as I am a cat lady myself. But it's really, really hard to top the actual Deadpool suit from the movie, so why should anyone even bother?

According to Us Weekly, Blake Lively even commented "#HusbandUpgrade" on the photo, making this whole thing even cooler. Her husband is pretty awesome to let her friend borrow something like that! There's clearly a lot of trust there.

Now, the challenge is on. Somehow, Swift has to top this next year, and I can't wait to see how she does it. And as for the rest of us? We might as well give up.
