Gwyneth Paltrow Breaks Silence On Conscious Uncoupling... on GOOP, Of Course

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their split earlier this week, and it left the world... confused. The actress, via her lifestyle blog, Goop.com, told fans that while the couple had been trying to work out the issues in their marriage for the past year, they had decided to remain separate — or, as Paltrow says, "consciously uncouple." Now, Paltrow is breaking the silence about her divorce once again — and, surprise surprise, it's via a Goop blog post.

The actress, not one to waste words, decided to throw up a little personal note on her blog... right at the bottom of a post about chicken. Talk about economical — not only is Paltrow's blog post about how to stretch one chicken into three separate meals, but her post also acts as a mini "thank you" to all the people supporting her and her soon-to-be ex-husband during this trying time:

Our moms were raised by depression-era ladies who used a single tea bag for two cups of tea and never met a leftover they didn’t eat. This issue of three delicious chicken recipes is in honor of our grandmothers, who taught us the good old-fashioned art of not wasting a scrap.

Love,gp

P.S. CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many. ♥

Paltrow and Martin have baffled a lot of fans after announcing their split — in fact, just one day before they parted ways, Paltrow and Martin flew their entire family out to the Bahamas for what could be described as a "breakup-moon."

Sure, we're all a tad bit confused about what exactly is going on in the Goop creator's marriage, but really, maybe they're doing the breakup thing the smarter, classier way. After all, the phrase "conscious uncoupling" may have become an Internet meme, but it's actually a very real technique used to heal from a breakup. We certainly don't need any more celebrities spewing venom at their exes. Perhaps we can take a page (a Goop.com page!) from GP and keep the ending of our relationships just as civil.
