This Draco Malfoy Look-alike Is Voting For Trump

British author J.K. Rowling has been outspoken about her distaste for Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump on more than one occasion — even going so far as to say that Trump is worse than the villain of the Harry Potter series, Voldemort. But how would her characters vote if the 2016 presidential election played out in the Potterverse? I'd like to believe that Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley would be firmly in Hillary Clinton's camp, but Draco Malfoy's allegiances have always been inconstant. But on Monday, a Draco Malfoy look-alike said he was supporting Donald Trump in an interview with CNN, and are we really surprised?

OK, it's not actually Draco Malfoy. The interviewee was actually a man named Tom Crean, a George Washington University freshman and first-time voter, who was on the show to discuss his support for Donald Trump. The pale blonde told the anchors that he believes Trump to be a "compassionate and intelligent man," whose words are "taken out of context and manipulated by political enemies."

Naturally, the internet zoomed in on Crean's uncanny resemblance to the notorious Slytherin, former Death Eater, and one-time supporter of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. Take a look at the video below:

Unsurprisingly, the reactions to this interview were pretty spectacular:

As one Twitter user pointed out, even Draco Malfoy had a last-minute change of heart at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and he grew up to be a not-totally-terrible adult.

So perhaps there's still a chance for change for our real life Draco?
