Is Ariana Grande's Blonde Hair Real?

by Katharine McEntee

Ariana Grande rarely mixes it up in the hair department, almost always wearing her honey brown mane in a high pony. However, on Nov. 12, Grande revealed a shocking hair transformation via Instagram: Platinum locks. Ariana Grande’s blonde hair, which she debuted on her Instagram, is worn in a very natural hairstyle for the 23-year-old songstress: In a half pony high atop her head.

While Grande's hair color most certainly looks like the real deal, the Dangerous Woman singer, captioned the photo, “Blonde (wig) ambition @chrisappleton1 ☕️..... just for now ♡ #Faith @singmovie 👀🎬” revealing that her new blonde tresses are, in fact, fake.

According to Grande’s Snapchat story, she was filming a music video with Stevie Wonder on Nov. 12, which happens to be the same day that she posted her blonde haired photos. While you might wish Grande’s platinum colored locks were sticking around for more than one night (she totally pulls off a bright blonde 'do), you'll likely get a glimpse of Grande's fleeting blonde hair style, when her and Wonder’s music video for their duet "Faith" debuts.

Here, a closer look at Grande with blonde hair:

This isn't the first time Grande has gone blonde. Back in 2015 she rocked a nearly white platinum shade for her "Focus" music video. Needless to say, the singer looks stunning.

Just in case you didn't believe Grande the first time around. The singer took to Instagram to post yet another picture of her fake blonde tresses, and captioned it, “I'm not blonde ✌🏼️🍂💡.”

Grande has been elevating her high pony hair style as of late, adding blunt bangs to her look, crimping her pony tail, and now rocking this blonde wig. In other words, Grande has been taking her pony to many new heights, and we can't wait to see how she elevates it next.
