Justin Bieber Explains Why He's No Longer On Instagram & It Has To Do With The Devil (Seriously) — VIDEO

For celeb-watchers and fans wondering why Justin Bieber is no longer on Instagram, that mystery is a mystery no more. While performing at his London show on Nov. 29, the Biebs asked the audience if they'd like him to go back on Instagram, eliciting shrieks from the crowd that obviously meant a resounding "hell yes." Bieber, on the other hand, was more like "hell no," literally, explaining that the 'gram was actually for the devil. Yikes.

The "Purpose" singer, who has made his Christian faith well-known throughout his entire career, told the audience that he wouldn't be going back on the photo-sharing app because "Instagram is for the devil." He then offered a series of Instagram-related notions about purgatory.

"I think hell is Instagram. I'm like 90 percent sure," he explained. "We get sent to hell and we get locked in the Instagram server. I'm stuck in the DMs. I'm trying to climb my way out and I can't."

Immediately after this revelation, Bieber cleared his throat and said, "I don't know what I'm talking about."

I like to imagine that if Bieber does ever go back on the 'gram, he'd caption his first photo with a series of purple devil emojis. You know, just to really drive his point home.

Whether or not the singer truly believes those devil-and-hell comments, it's clear that he is no longer a fan of the app. That was evidenced by the fact that he has not restored his account since deleting it on Aug. 16. The catalyst that sparked the deletion in the first place, of course, was fans hating on his maybe-girlfriend Sofia Richie — and his ex Selena Gomez reportedly defending his supporters and reminding him that he could just not post photos of Richie if he didn't want to be exposed to that kind of hate.

As for whether the Biebs will ever go back on the app, that remains to be seen — if he ever manages to free himself from the purgatory that is comprised of those DMS, that is.
