Louis Tomlinson's Mom Dies At 42

Here is some extremely sad news. On Friday, MailOnline reported One Direction member Louis Tomlinson's mom died at 42. Johannah Deakin had a long battle with leukemia and died early Wednesday, the outlet confirmed via a statement from what appears to be a rep for the family. "It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin's family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016." The statement continues, "Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia [sic] that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private."

In addition to Tomlinson, Johannah is survived by six other children and her husband, Dan Deakin, who also released a tribute of his late wife to MailOnline:

Johannah was first and foremost a truly amazing mother to seven children — Louis (24), Lottie (18), Félicité (16), and two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy (12) and Ernest and Doris (2) — whose individual talents and success are testament to the principles and beliefs she instilled in them. She was also an incredibly proud grandmother to Freddie.

He added about Johannah, who was a midwife, "Incredibly selfless, she would always look to put other people before herself. She desired nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy and loving. She worked tirelessly on numerous charity campaigns, creating memories for many individuals and their families."

As difficult as this time must be for Tomlinson, who has yet to comment on his mom's death, he is set to give her the perfect tribute. According to MailOnline, the 24-year-old singer will still perform at The X Factor finale on Saturday, at an already planned appearance, in honor of his mother. The reality competition is where Tomlinson and his fellow former 1D members found fame and became one of the biggest boy bands. MailOnline reports that Johannah was excited to see Tomlinson back on the stage where his dream came true.

As you can see above, Tomlinson shared a photo of himself and his mom on Instagram two weeks ago and wrote alongside it, "My mother looking gorgeous before the Brits earlier this year. I love you and miss you so much!"
