On Nov. 21, Kanye West was hospitalized for exhaustion after canceling the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour. Then, on Nov. 30, E! News reported that West had been released from the hospital and was on his way home. Regarding the latter, it still remains unclear whether or not the rapper is living at home with Kim Kardashian and their two kids or if he is living elsewhere until he makes a full recovery. (At the time of the report that West was reportedly not living at home, Bustle reached to Kardashian's rep for comment, but did not receive an immediate response. West's rep couldn't be reached for comment.) With so many conflicting reports, it's been difficult to keep everything straight, including is Kanye West still receiving treatment?
One might think since he is out of the hospital, he is probably not being treated anymore. However, some reports claim that's not the case. In early December, a source spoke with People and said, "He is receiving outpatient care somewhere else with a medical team. Kim still seems concerned but is supportive. They don’t know for how long Kanye will need outpatient care." In November, after reporting on West's hospital release, TMZ also alleged that The Life of Pablo artist "needs ongoing psychological and medical treatment." A source also claimed to E! News on Dec. 4, West "will remain getting outpatient treatment till he is fully recovered." The source added, "Kim wants him to continue getting therapy even after all of this. He has support from so many people."
According to Us Weekly, not only are Kardashian and her kids staying with Kris Jenner until West gets better, but multiple sources told the outlet the 39-year-old artist is receiving outpatient care at a rental in the Los Angeles area. That said, Entertainment Tonight reported on Wednesday, Dec. 7 that Kimye is very much living together. Similar to the recent divorce rumors, reports about their living arrangements also face conflicting reports and could be false. "Not only is the rumor that they are splitting not true, but so is the report of them living apart," a source told ET.
Kardashian's best friend Jonathan Cheban agrees when it comes to the divorce rumors. He spoke with E! News Wednesday about the couple and how well they are doing. "I just FaceTimed with Kim and Kanye and everyone's talking about some divorce rumors and I was laughing because I didn't hear that all day and I guess everybody else apparently here did and it's so funny to me because it's so not true," he said. "They're in good spirits. I don't want to talk much about them because it's not my business but I do have to say that the divorcing is kind of hysterical, that I will mention, because I just spoke to both of them on FaceTime literally before I was coming here and when I heard that I literally burst out laughing."
It sure seems like West is doing better, because he was spotted Thursday night at the Rick Owens: Furniture exhibit at the MOCA Pacific Design Center, People reported. There was even a photo (originally posted on Instagram by artist Giovanni Leonardo Bassan) circulating of West, who looks healthy and is even sporting a new hair color. That's right, he is now blond.
Whether West is still being treated or not, it does seem that he is working on his music, as E! News reported on Dec. 8. The outlet said he even built a temporary studio in his Bel Air home. TMZ also published a similar report stating that West wanted privacy to focus on his health and music, the reason behind his temporary studio.
Based on the many reports about West since he left the hospital, it appears that regardless of what is going on exactly, he is dedicated in getting better.
