You Have To See Kate & Prince George

by Cherise Luter

Kate Middleton's effortlessly elegant style translates on all continents — I think she would make the Antarctic penguins swoon — and today was one more example of her perfection.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down today in New Zealand’s Wellington International Airport as they begin the first leg of their 18-day tour of New Zealand and Australia, reports WWD. The couple, complete with baby Prince George, looked kind of amazing disembarking their Royal New Zealand Air Force Boeing 757. The Duchess was decked out in a beautiful red Catherine Walker military style jacket with a matching Gina Foster pillbox hat a la Jackie Kennedy. She accessorized with a diamond and platinum fern brooch borrowed from the Queen — nice — that had originally been presented as a gift to Queen Elizabeth II by the women of Auckland during the Queen’s 1952-1953 tour of the country.

The princes looked downright smashing as well, Prince William in his slim-fit blue suit with red patterned tie and Prince George, a trend setter in his own right, in an all-white ensemble. (We hope he keeps to all white for the rest of the day, though we realize that, when you are 8 months old, this could create a lot of laundry.)

Am I the only one amped to see what other sartorial strokes of genius Kate Middleton has in store for us as the threesome spends the next three weeks Down Under?
