One of the best things about Jimmy Fallon as the host of The Tonight Show is that he never lets an interview just be an interview. Give him an excuse for a musical number or a silly game, and he's totally down. So it shouldn't have been too surprising that when the actress formerly known as Josie Grosie said she wanted to interview herself, that Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon played Lip Flip. It's exactly what it sounds like: via some camera fun, Barrymore's lips were on Jimmy Fallon's, and vice versa with Jimmy Fallon's lips on Barrymore's, but like, flipped...not kissing. You got it.
Barrymore made fun of how Fallon is just a New Yorkaaaa, and Fallon riffed on how Barrymore's a hippie-dippie flower child. But the best part is when they try to get each other to sing...and then they launch into a totally butchered, but hilarious nonetheless, rendition of "You're The One That I Want" from Grease.
The best part? The two are obviously having a great time. That's one of the awesome things about Fallon as host — call him smarmy if you wish, but you gotta love the fact that when you watch a Tonight Show interview, you know you're getting more of a variety show act than an interview. Fallon plays with his guests, and makes sure that they, too have a good time, which is only further proof that he is indeed an excellent host.
The whole thing is pretty funny, so check it out!
