She's Basically Madonna (Almost)

Any woman who's known by only her first name is seriously a big deal (Oprah, Shakira, Beyonce, Madonna, Cher, et al). Therefore, Ladies of London 's celebutante Caprice should be pretty darn proud of herself for making one-name fame. Although, thanks to LoL, we know Caprice as the American expat who's officially in with the actual British ladies — who else is absolutely in love with rebellious socialite Annabelle Neilson? — she wasn't always seated at the popular table. As another one-namer would say, she started from the bottom, now she's here.

So how did she even get so famous in the first place? Well, it all started in her early 20s in Hacienda Heights, California, when she had the dream of becoming a model. The bright-eyed beauty saw her chance at eternal glory and hopped across the country, and then the pond, until she landed in foggy London. Within months — damn, she moves fast — the west coaster landed gig after gig, eventually becoming one of the world's most photographed women. Besides achieving the feat of adorning over 300 magazine covers — Vogue, Esquire, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, etc. — she was also named Maxim’s "International Woman of the Year" three years in a row and GQ’s "Woman of the Year." So yeah, Caprice didn't just become a model; she basically became a supermodel. (Tyra would be so proud.)

So what else has she done to promote her "brand"? Well, a lot. Take a look at this one-namer's ever-expanding empire:

After posing in so many different types of lingerie, Caprice decided to go into the lingerie business for herself. She is currently the CEO and founder of By Caprice Products. Of course, Caprice doesn't just focus on sexy-wear; she also sells swimwear, sleepwear, and, most importantly, bedding. One of her bedding packages is aptly called "Westminster," and we seriously hope that someone in the UK Parliament owns a set of their own.

According to her website, she's appeared in over 150 films and TV shows.

Twice Upon a Yesterday and Hollywood Flies might be the most recognized pieces of work she's been in, but, if we're being honest, the best thing she's ever starred in was The Surreal Life. If the name alone doesn't trigger anything, hopefully the tagline will: "A reality show about fading celebrities who were hot back in the day, and how they live their day to day lives in one Los Angeles mansion." That's right — Caprice was totally on that show that starred Dave Coulier, Janice Dickinson, and Corey Feldman. (We knew we knew her from somewhere.)

She's also a member of the the-ate-er community.

Caprice has had lead roles in several productions — The Vagina Monologues, Rent, and Debbie Does Dallas The Musical — in London's West End theatre district.

She likes to keep up with the tabloids.

If you've been watching LoL, then you know that Caprice is all about the tabloids. She recently reached out to The Sun in the hopes that they'd publish a story on her and her surrogate being pregnant at the same time (they totally did). Hey, if they're going to find out anyways, she might as well be ahead of the game.
