The bad news: Lindsay Lohan's out on the streets again. The good news: That might not actually be a bad thing, since the actress is one step closer to rehabilitation following her stint in rehab.
As TMZ reported, the former Mean Girls star was released from rehab Tuesday, having spent three months in court-ordered treatment after lying to police at the scene of an accident in June 2012. Based on the first photos of Lohan out of rehab, the actress looks much more upbeat than usual. And, based on reports, the actress made progress — while at Cliffside Malibu (where she transferred to after a month at the Betty Ford Clinic), Lohan was reportedly told to create a "toxic list" of friends who have proven to be bad influences throughout her life and career.
Her successful stint in rehab — her reported sixth — seems to indicate a sea change in the actress' life. Not only has she earned praise for her work in Paul Schrader's The Canyons, but news came Tuesday that Lohan would guest host an episode of Chelsea Lately Aug. 5.
Of course, cynics would tell us to give it time — after all, Lohan has failed to benefit from rehab on five other occasions. Still, we're hoping the former Mean Girls star will "happen" more than fetch in the coming months.
