Kenan Thompson's Totally A Dad Now

The extended Saturday Night Live family has now grown: Kenan Thompson's now a dad. Thompson's wife, Christina Evangeline, gave birth to a baby girl Friday. Her name is Georgia Marie Thompson.

Thompson talked about the pregnancy during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in March. "I'm about to be a daddy!" he said during the appearance, following it up by calling himself Papa Kenan. Sometimes there can be a bit of cognitive dissonance in picturing comedians — AKA the people who do absurd things in front of us for a living — being responsible for another human life, but we have no doubt that's just our SNL-induced delusion and that Thompson will be a great dad. As he told Meyers: "I am terrified. I don't know what to do with babies." To be honest, that first part seems like the perfect frame of mind to have when preparing for letting a baby take over your life.

Thompson and Evangeline got married on November 11, 2011 (AKA 11/11/11), and have reportedly been trying for a baby for a long while. Little Georgia did not arrive on a day as numerically cool as the one her parents got married on, but we're sure they'll forgive her in time.
