J. Lo & Maks Are Apparently Not An Item

Alas, it would appear that Jennifer Lopez and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are not dating. That is, at least, according to a good friend of Lopez, former King of Queens star Leah Remini, who insists that Lopez and Chmerkovskiy are not trying to give Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello a run for their money as most ridiculously attractive new couple.

Remini set the record straight (for Lopez, for some reason) on Watch What Happens Live!, telling host Andy Cohen that the pair "are not an item. They are [just] friends." How dare you rob the world of the mental image of them macking, Leah Remini? Why on earth would you do that?

So there you have it: The Dancing with the Stars star is not next in line to be personally serenaded with "I Luh Ya Papi" by Lopez, unless she's in the habit of using that song on platonic buddies. Which she very well might be, we don't know her life. So what does this revelation mean to those out there who 'shipped Chmerkovskiy with Dancing with the Stars partner and Olympian Meryl Davis? If I recall correctly, there was some hardcore 'shipping going on around those two a few months back. Then again, there are also all these other ladies in Chmerkovskiy's life.
