Mango's Plus Size Line is Finally Here

After months of eager anticipation, Mango's plus size line, Violeta, finally launched on Thursday. Plans for Violeta became public back in December 2013 and though the brand received some backlash for starting the line at a size 8 (considered low for a plus size range), fashion-lovers have largely been excited to see the results. Now the first collection is here and it's every bit as fabulous as we'd hoped.

Plus size women often have a hard time finding nice clothing because many retailers haven't figured out that larger women like fashion too. This is ridiculous, of course, but thankfully certain brands are starting to get the memo. Mango is clearly one of them. The Violeta offerings are super cute, walking the line between trendy and professional with ease. You won't see any unflattering tunic tops or dowdy, shapeless dresses here.

Instead, there are blazers, mini dresses, button-down shirts, pencil skirts, and more in adorable colors and prints. The selection of printed trousers is particularly impressive, and there's even a to-die-for geometric jumpsuit. Violeta includes 400 items total, meaning you have plenty to choose from, and the prices are reasonable with only one dress retailing above $200. The range is available in U.S. sizes 8 to 20.
