'Cinderella' Casts Another 'Downton Abbey' Alum. Who Else Should Be Recruited for the Film?

Miss Downton Abbey? Of course you do. Though you'll have to spend the remainder of 2013 without our favorite upstairs and downstairs residents, you'll get double the fix in 2014 when the show premieres and when Disney's live action Cinderella bows.

Because it seems the studio is dedicated to casting everyone from the PBS favorite. Not only had they announced Lily James, who played troublemaker Lady Rose MacClare on Downton, will portray the title role, but Sophie McShera, otherwise known as the rather daft Daisy, is in talks to play a wicked stepsister.

Sure, the cast of the film — which is being directed by Kenneth Branagh — is rounded out by non-Downton-ites like Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother and Richard Madden as the prince, but wouldn't it be nicer to imagine Cinderella as the most wonderful of plays at the village fair?

Fairy Godmother

Played By Mrs. Crawley (Penelope Wilton)

Because dear kindly Cousin Isobel makes dreams come true. One day you're a prostitute, and — bibbity-bobbity-boo! — the next you're a housemaid getting publicly shamed for having access to the salmon mousse.

Played By Alfred (Matt Milne)

Both are goofy, gangly, and ginger-y.

Played By Mr. Carson (Jim Carter)

Both Gus and Carson worship their Lady, and aim to spend their days serving her. Though Carson would never tolerate such a disheveled appearance.

The King

Played By Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville)

Just like Lord Grantham, the king is always concerned about his children's love lives. Hopefully, though, he's better with his money.

The Grand Duke

Played By Mr. Bates (Brendan Coyle)

The Grand Duke, just like Mr. Bates, is always looking out for the King's best interests. Also like Mr. Bates, we don't really care about the Grand Duke's backstory.

Played By Mr. Molesley (Kevin Doyle)

Both are loyal, eager to please, and have but a few hairs on their head. At least Cinderella had the good sense to keep Bruno away from the wine.

Played By Mrs. Patmore (Lesley Nicol)

They even have the same hat!

Played By Anna (Joanne Froggatt)

Adorable, lovable, and always at her Lady's side, Anna is just like her Cinderella alter-ego. Now, if only she'd also introduce some color into her wardrobe.

Played By Thomas Barrow (Rob James-Collier)

Because, of course.
