Anna's Bridal Shower Isn't Their First Crazy Party

by Laura Rosenfeld

Say what you want about the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo family, but they really do know how to throw some memorable parties. I am not saying everything they incorporate into their celebrations is something I would necessarily want to experience firsthand, but every episode that features a shindig is always entertaining. Could we really ask for anything more from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo? No, we could not. Sunday night's upcoming episode will be no different. As the family prepares for Anna's wedding day, they will throw her a wrestling-themed wedding shower where it looks like Anna will kick some ass. As she should.

If you want your next special occasion to truly live up to its name and be a conversation piece, then you should probably hit up Mama June and company. Whether you are looking for food, decorations, entertainment, or all of the above, they have all the expertise you need to help you throw a bash that is "beautimous" in every sense of the word. We just have to figure out what that word actually means first. Just take a look at these eight parties from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo episodes past, and you will quickly understand what I'm talking about.

Christmas in July

Christmas in July is apparently a thing for the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo clan, and we got a glimpse of their jolly holiday part deux during Season 1. With a can drive to help those in need, inflatable penguins, and Sugar Bear dressed up as Santa Claus, it is very easy to see why even six months before the official holiday season can be "the most wonderful time of the year."

Pumpkin's 13th Birthday

To celebrate Pumpkin's (Lauryn), 13th birthday, the family took her to Papa Buck's BBQ to attempt the "Pigzilla" challenge to eat a four-pound pulled pork sandwich in 45 minutes and channel her inner "Redneck Kobayashi," as Mama June put it. Pumpkin ultimately failed to tame the "Pigzilla" beast, but I know that my life will never be the same after watching her take on that monster of a sandwich.

The Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

Just before Mama June and Sugar Bear's commitment ceremony, you know they had to go out with a bang. Well, Mama June certainly went to town, slinging back shots and dancing up on friends and randos alike in a bar. But Sugar Bear went out more with a whimper, hanging out with his buds around a fire in a barrel. As for his thoughts on his commitment to Mama June, Sugar Bear said, "They all bitch. The way they bitch and all, I still love 'em." Now that's true love.

Mama June and Sugar Bear's Commitment Ceremony

Neon-colored flowers, a reception catered with some finger-lickin' good barbecue, and that dress. Oh, that dress. Mama June and Sugar Bear's commitment ceremony was an affair to remember. Did I mention that dress?

Waxing Party

Pumpkin had the brilliant idea of turning her girls' spa day with Chickadee (Anna), Chubbs (Jessica), Alana, and Mama June into a full-fledged party. However, not-so-professional methods for removing blackheads and waxing the hair off of her family members with what looked like tape were not so brilliant, but they still got the job done.

Sugar Bear's Dukes of Hazzard-Themed Birthday Party

For some people, turning 40 can be a difficult time in their lives. But when you have a piñata made out of Daisy Dukes and a day of go-kart racing to help you pretend you're driving the General Lee like Sugie had for his 40th birthday party, hitting the big 4-0 is a piece of cake.

Pumpkin's Homecoming Party

Pumpkin landed in the hospital for a concussion she suffered when the family got into a car crash. Needless to say, the family was thrilled when Pumpkin returned home, so much so that they threw her a Welcome Home Party, complete with a throne decorated by Alana. Decked out in a paper crown and orange boa, Pumpkin sat in her throne and ate a big old bowl of corn. Ah, there's no place like home.

Mama June's Birthday Party

The girls went all out for Mama June's 34th birthday party in Season 4. She wasn't too excited about getting one year older, but once she saw the disgusting, I mean, delicious-looking meat sculpture, "Fart Zone Throne," and Mario Lopez life-size cutout that her daughters organized for her, Mama June's spirits were quickly lifted. Wouldn't yours be?
