Has Khloe Kardashian Just Given Up?

by Emma Goddard

To this day, Khloe Kardashian will always be my favorite Kardashian of them all. A chick who doesn’t let the haters get to her and who is real with everyone, especially her family, she receives my upmost respect. Yet recently, after the chill Kardashian began dating rapper French Montana, a person who many fans aren’t too pleased with, I can’t help but begin to question her dating values. Don’t get me wrong. I believe a woman should date whoever she wants to and however she wants to. This especially goes for the reality TV star after she recently experienced a rough divorce with Lamar Odom. However, after the Kardashian tweeted how she doesn’t care that Montana is taking advantage of her fame, as implied by a recent Billboard Magazine interview, it upsets me to think that she’s setting a bad example for other women in relationships like hers.

While it’s one thing to willingly submit yourself to an unhealthy relationship, it’s another to openly tell other women it’s not a big deal as well.

“It’s amusing to me that y’all think I don’t see it,” Kardashian tweeted on Saturday. “I was the first one to see it. I just don’t care.”

This tweet from the Kardashian comes after Montana was recently questioned about the attention he’s garnered from dating a Kardashian during his Billboard Magazine interview.

“I want to capitalize on it,” Montana said. “I’ll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I’ll be able to connect with everything that’s going on.”

Of course, some fans of the Kardashian were in uproar over this, feeling that Montana’s interview only further proved that his music is more important than his lady. So it was probably surprising when she fired back admitting that she simply doesn’t care. Not only does this make me sad, because she deserves so much better than that, but it also irks me that she’s sending a message to both men and women that they shouldn’t care either if their significant others are using them.

Whether completely platonic, a spouse, or a boyfriend/girlfriend, you should never be in any sort of relationship with someone who’s taking advantage of you and is making it one-sided. She’s not denying that she’s standing by and allowing it to happen, and the worst part of it all is that she’s admitting that she saw it coming before anyone else did but still carried on rather than choosing to end something that could potentially become poisonous.

Plus, I feel like the Khloe we all know and love would be more likely to tell off a man rather than telling off her own fans. I love you, girl, but I really hope you work things out.
