6 Harry Styles Movies We'd Love to Watch

Harry Styles is one of the most notable members of One Direction and not just because Styles once went out with Taylor Swift. Styles has charisma, he has charm, and he has a tendency to eat bananas while performing on stage — not to mention all the times Styles has proposed to a fan or pulled down his pants during a concert. So, with that kind of notoriety attached to him even while he's one member of a group, it probably comes as no surprise that Styles could have starred in a movie alongside Cara Delevingne. In fact, he only turned it down because he was more committed to touring with the band than he was to making room for a successful box office career.

"I offered Harry a role in Tulip Fever, but he was touring so he had to turn it down," said Harvey Weinstein to the Daily Mail. ". . . He's like Errol Flynn, he's got that swashbuckling charm. Definite star potential. I think he'd be great. No question." So not only could Styles have starred in a movie, but it would have been a Weinstein Company movie. He was this close to winning an Oscar for his first movie role.

With Styles inviting comparisons to Errol Flynn without having even appeared in a movie yet, I can't help but wonder what some films would have been like had he been in them.

Shailene Woodley plays the cynical, antisocial Hazel Grace who meets the pretentious but good-natured Harry Styles at a cancer support group. After serenading her with "What Makes You Beautiful," Harry and Hazel fall madly in love and then proceed to break your hearts.

2. Transformers: Age of One Direction

Transformers: Age of One Direction would go on to be the most successful Transformers movie in the entire franchise with 99 percent of its viewing audience being One Direction fans and 1 percent of its viewing audience just here for Optimus Prime.

3. Guardians of the Boy Bands

Harry Styles stars as Peter Quill, an outlaw with an overly developed ego who is forced to save the galaxy alongside some fellow criminals he gets to know in jail. However, Styles finds himself outshone by the adorable Dancing Baby Groot from the ending scene.

4. Directioners

Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are a happy couple with a new baby that finds their quiet suburban life turned upside down when One Direction moves in next door. The suburb is immediately flooded with loud fans who camp out on the lawn outside the One Direction house, throwing parties and screaming for Niall Horan to come out on the balcony. No one gets any sleep. Not even One Direction.

5. The Singer

In an apocalyptic future, Harry Styles is chosen to be the next Singer in a world where people have forgotten how to sing and only see things in black and white. No one sees the movie, even for Harry Styles, because the trailer tells a completely different story from the beloved children's book.

Teaming up once again with Shailene Woodley, Styles plays Four, a mysterious member of the Dauntless faction who has more in common with Woodley's Tris than either of them realize. Except they have to rename Four to 50+ because that's basically how many tattoos Styles will actually have in his shirtless scene.
