Her Take on the Ice Bucket Challenge is Hilarious

They may not always see side-eye to side-eye as cast members on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but Kandi Burruss and NeNe Leakes took a pause from the reality TV drama recently to come together for a good cause. Leakes accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge issued by Burruss. Leakes didn't go the glamorous route like Julie Chen, who took the challenge in her usual put-together look. Still the results of Leakes challenge don't disappoint, specifically because she donned a wet suit and goggles for the event.

For Leakes to agree to the bone-chilling challenge shows that she can absolutely put her diva antics on the back burner when it counts. In the video Burruss posted on Instagram, a suited up Leakes proclaims that she has indeed accepted her co-star's challenge. Seconds later, an unidentified person drenches her in ice water. Obviously Leakes survived the ordeal, but not before wailing and flailing her arms in a swimming motion.

Leakes isn't the only to put a comedic spin on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt's Ice Bucket Challenge caught him off guard even though he clearly thought he was in on the joke. Olivia Wilde also pushed the envelope by using her own breast milk. Even though tons of celebs have already taken the challenge, there's bound to plenty more out there waiting to put their own spin on it. As for Leakes, before the reality star took her infamous plunge, she also nominated "all the original housewives" so it's only a matter of time before more videos of icy, screaming Housewives surface. Hopefully, they're just as hilarious as Leakes' challenge. Check out the video below:
