Kiko Mizuhara x Opening Ceremony Fall 2014

by Rosie Narasaki

Have you heard about Kiko Mizuhara? She's one of Japan's top models, and she's gained international fame through her runway career (recently, she's walked for Moschino), as well as her fashion darling status (she's one of Karl Lagerfeld's friends — she makes an appearance at the front row of nearly every one of his runway shows, and she always looks fabulous doing so). Oh, and there's also the fact that she has nearly 1.5 million followers on her carefully-curated Instagram account, and that Kiko Mizuhara is collaborating with Opening Ceremony for a fall collection that's totally amazing.

Now, how about Opening Ceremony? I'm something of a fashion heathen, so they've been on my radar (Like, I knew that they did a collaboration with Tevas a couple of months ago and that Natasha Lyonne wore the brand to the Emmys last Sunday), but I didn't know a whole lot about them. A quick visit to their "about us" page told me that they are a fast-growing international brand that both curates other designers and has their own, in-house line, and that they do a lot of collaborations, including the aforementioned Tevas venture, as well as Topshop, Rodarte, Maison Martin Margiela — and of course, Kiko Mizuhara.

Mizuhara took to her much-followed IG last night to post some of her favorite looks from the fall/winter 2014 lookbook, and they are admittedly quite fabulous — let's take a look:

A good, old fashioned holographic metallic miniskirt never did anyone wrong.

Same goes for fuzzy, rainbow-striped sweaters with heart-shaped cutouts. Right? Right?

This sailor-inspired satin-y romper takes some chutzpah to pull off, but it sure is adorable!

I never thought I'd be interested in a chic take on a bowling jacket, but I think I am... especially when paired with metallic dolphin shorts.

Ditto futuristic bowling shirts paired with pleated skirts!

If the above looks were a tad too much for you, at least you can always go classic in a perfectly tailored white button down.
