Who Did They Choose For Important Wedding Roles?

by Kaitlin Reilly

You didn't have to actually attend Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding to know that it was hell of a spectacle — not that we could expect anything less from this Hollywood power couple. Despite the couple being no stranger to the public eye, the Kimye wedding was kept under significant wraps, so much so that the couple's own wedding guests were all told different information about the nuptials. Apparently it was worth the wait, because a Kimye wedding is a big freakin' deal.

Kardashian and West had a lavish pre-wedding celebration in Paris, France, where their guests were treated to a special performance by Lana Del Rey at the Palace of Versailles. The guests were then flown out to Florence, Italy, where the couple made their marriage — and their reign as a legally bound Kimye — official. Of course, a Kimye wedding wouldn't be complete without a wedding party — which celebrities solidified their place in the Kimye inner circle with a fancy title at the wedding? Here's what we know.

His

It looks like West may have been turned down by his first choice of Best Man. According to reports, West asked Jay Z to be the Best Man at his wedding, an offer that Jay Z initially refused due to the E! cameras that were supposed to film the wedding. Then, according to RadarOnline, Jay Z changed his mind, announcing that he would be the Best Man by sending West an engraved diamond flask and a bottle of super expensive scotch to have on his wedding day. (Because when you get married, you better be as drunk as possible?)

Apparently Jay Z wasn't the world's most reliable Best Man because at the end of the day, Jay Z and his wife Beyonce decided that they weren't going to go to the wedding at all. I'm sure that made West feel like this:

But don't worry — West bounced back from this alleged snub. According to The Hollywood Gossip, Don C, West's longtime manager, stepped up as his Best Man. According to the site, Ibn Jasper, West's longtime barber, and Jerry Lorenzo, West's designer, rounded out the groomsmen group. That makes sense, since before the wedding E! News' Ken Baker told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that West's groomsmen would be his best friends from Chicago. I bet they didn't even miss Brooklynite Jay Z.

Hers

According to multiple sources, Kardashian's sisters were her bridesmaids for the wedding, whch is hardly a surprise. This was Kardashian's third time walking down the aisle (she was married to Damon Thomas when she was just 19 and it ended very, very badly) and it didn't seem like she wanted to switch it up in the bridesmaids department. And really, why should she? I mean, she already has at least two adult women to go do body shots with at a male strip club.

Possibly during a body shot competition.

The underage Kendall and Kylie Jenner were also in on the bridesmaid action, though most likely not in on the fictional body shot competition I discussed above.

So far, there is no word on whether any of the sisters took on the special role of Maid of Honor, but there's a chance that Kardashian didn't have one at all. Her 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries had Khloe and Kourtney sharing the role of Maid of Honor, as Kim and Kourtney did at Khloe's wedding to Lamar Odom.

So there you have it: The people important enough to be a part of the Kimye wedding. No matter what else they do in life, they can always say that they made it into the most exclusive wedding of the year. I hope the food was good.
