Brad Had the Ultimate Wedding Surprise for Angie

by Nicole Fabian-Weber

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie really thought of everything when it came to their surprise (to us) wedding. From Pitt's humming "Here Comes the Bride" to Jolie's children-inspired wedding dress to Pax baking the wedding cake (!), their nuptials were as heart-felt and family-oriented as it gets. But, one little detail that just came to light could be the absolute sweetest one yet: Pitt paid homage to Jolie's late mother in the most beautiful way.

As everyone knows, Jolie was especially fond of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away in 2007 from ovarian cancer. Time and time again, Jolie has brought up what a kind and loving mother Bertrand was, and has even said that she doesn't think she could ever be as good a parent as she was. So, knowing how important her mother is to her, Pitt had a stone engraved with a tribute to Bertrand, and placed it right at the spot where they became husband and wife in the chapel. So incredibly sweet.

I've gotta say, Pitt and Jolie left no stone unturned — literally — with their wedding. Clearly, this was something that was incredibly well-thought-out and took a lot of time to plan. It's pretty amazing nobody knew about it. Congrats to the happy couple and their beautiful kids. And way to remember your wife's mother, Brad. That probably meant more to her than you'll ever know.
