Oh, dear. That seems to be the most appropriate way to begin writing this news story. According to KSFM, a local news outlet in Fayetteville, Arkansas, a 31-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting $144 worth of eye makeup from ULTA. Yes, that explains the mug shot above.
The eyeshadow saga began when the accused Brandy Allen entered the cosmetics store on Labor Day. A witness observed Allen "grabbing handfuls of make up without looking at the color or labels." The report also states that she gave no regard for prices. Maybe she was preparing to be on Supermarket Sweep? The report also noted that Allen did not act alone in her eye makeup mission. A woman helped distract store employees by asking questions that led them away from the aisle/counter of the crime.
After calling the police, the witness (who told Allen she was the ULTA general manager) asked to see the contents of the suspect's purse. Allen then began to pull makeup out of her bag, smearing them with her fingers to make them look used. She even broke a red eyeliner in half claiming it was hers, although just minutes before, an employee stated she had helped her get it at the counter. Allen then shouted "No one fucking saw me steal anything!," which is clearly the cry of an innocent woman.
Officers arrested Allen for stealing an approximate value of $144. Her bail was set at $830, for which she bonded out later that day.
