It's hard to imagine a comedy about cancer. The themes of fatal illness and disease are usually left for the dramatic tear-jerkers, yet Decoding Annie Parker , a film centered around "the mostly true story of the irrepressible Annie Parker and the almost discovery of a cure for cancer," manages to offer some laughs, and a whole lot of heart.
The film offers a look into the many medical advances made in treating breast cancer over the decades, specifically the discovery of the BRCA gene, and is the real story of a three-time cancer patient, Annie Parker. The movie tells this story by way of an exceptional ensemble cast including Helen Hunt, Gotham's Ben McKenzie, Stark Trek's Alice Eve, and Parks & Rec's Rashida Jones.
Bustle received a clip from the film featuring '70s rocker Aaron Paul with some truly astounding hair, working his magic on our protagonist Parker, and luring her into the back of his pool cleaning service van for some afternoon delight. Wink wink.
Watch the clip below, and catch Decoding Annie Parker on DVD Sept. 30.
