They're the Next Beyoncé and Jay Z

by Rikki Byrd

In the world of fashion, Anna Wintour reigns supreme. Her name is synonymous with VOGUE, Condé Nast and even simply the word magazine. She knows the industry from front to back. She's brief, domineering, passionate, but in the world outside of expensive clothing budgets, and wrist-breaking September issues, she is no Beyoncé. So, when Wintour compared her and Michael Kors to Yoncé and husband, Jay Z, everyone scratched their heads a little.

This week at the God's Love We Deliver 2014 Golden Hearts Awards, New York Magazine reports that while giving a speech, Kors added an anecdote of he and Wintour in the kitchen. "Lucy and Ethel having nothing on Anna and myself in the kitchen," said Kors, the man behind his eponymous design label. "I thought we were like Jay Z and Beyoncé," the VOGUE editor-in-chief quipped back. And the rest of the night was a blur.

New York jokingly asked if maybe Wintour was referring to Beyoncé's verse from her hit single "Drunk in Love:" We woke up in the kitchen saying how the hell did this shit happen. Or if it was a "Countdown" situation. All jokes aside, however, what if Michael Kors and Anna Wintour decided to collaborate on a visual album? These would most likely be the three most quoted lines from the album.

1. FLAWLESS PART 3

Most quoted line: "No shit better go down when Miss Anna Wintour's on the elevator."

2. PARTITION

Most quoted line: "Driver roll up the partition please. Better listen to Miss Anna I guarantee. Took 45 minutes to get all dressed up. Only going to be there 10 minutes, so just hurry up."

3. DRUNK IN LOVE

Most quoted line: "We woke up in the front row, at the Alexander Wang show, I loved it, oh baby. FASSSSHIIOOONN WEEEEKKKKK!"
