Major Madonna Memorabilia Is Being Auctioned Off

by Alexa Tucker

Madonna has had some seriously iconic fashion moments over the course of her career. After all, she is the "Material Girl." But some of her most memorable outfits aren't hanging proudly in her assumedly massive wardrobe right now — they're about to be auctioned.

Over 200 items are being sold by Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, and they're definitely not small-ticket pieces—there's over $500,000 worth of merch in the lot. The memorabilia will go up for auction on November 7, and most of it will likely go quickly, considering what's in the catalog. Don't expect a bargain, though.

A baseball uniform Madonna wore in A League of Their Own will rack up over $3,000. Madonna's famous "Material Girl" dress, which she wore in the hit's music video, is expected to fetch between $20,000 and $40,000. And the Marlene Stewart gown she wore in her ill-fated wedding to Sean Penn in 1985? That's estimated to collect $40,000 to $60,000. Whoa.

Among the other items to be auctioned off are the inauguration gown from Evita, the "American Pie" video patchwork jeans and choker (it was 2000,) and the black leather corset she wore on the cover of V Magazine this summer.
