Ring In 2015 With Taylor Swift

If it feels like you're seeing Taylor Swift's name more than usual today, it's because she has officially taken over the world, sort of. Not only is Swift's new album, 1989 , loved by fans and reviewers, but she also has just been named to headline one of the events of the year (or at least the end of the year). It was announced on Monday that Swift will headline Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest, which will air on ABC on Dec. 31 in Times Square. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Swift won't be covering just 1989, but also a mix of "her hit songs," so set your DVRs now.

Last time Swift appeared on the New Year's Eve special was in 2012, when she had just premiered her hugely successful album Red, and she played her "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Equally as important as the songs she sang that year, she also rang in the new year with a midnight kiss from her then (alleged) boyfriend Harry Styles. But times have changed, as now it is more likely that the only Harry Styles that will be at the New Year's Eve will be the songs on 1989 about him.

So what can we expect, and hope Swift performs on the Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest? Let's make a wish-list.

"Shake it off"

This is probably the most definite song she'll sing, since it was her crazy popular single off the album that she released early this year. Plus, it's just really fun to dance to.

"Out of the Woods"

Another pre-released song that was received by fans with open arms. This song rings true to being about her ex, Styles, and is all together just awesome.

"Blank Space"

Bustle's Christine DiStasio ranked "Blank Space" her number one song off the album, and the Internet seems to agree.

"Love Story"

Because throwbacks are the best.

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

I know she sang this two years ago, but it's a classic! And it might encourage some to stick to their New Year's resolutions.

"22"

So she isn't 22 anymore, but this is one of her hits, so she has to perform it, right? Plus, who cares if she is or isn't 22, you just have to feel 22!
