There are bros… and there are bros… and then there are animals being bros. Guess which one is the best? You’ve got it — animals being bros. It’s a good thing there’s a subreddit devoted to that very topic, isn’t it? That’s actually what it’s called, too — r/AnimalsBeingBros. Its denizens spend their days looking out for each other, giving each other a hand, offering comfort when needed, and generally being significantly more pleasant than a lot of humans usually are. In fact, I might even go so far as to say it’s the only source of adorableness you’ll ever need. Ready for some hardcore “Awwwwwwwwwwww!” action? Because that’s exactly what you’re about to see.
To be fair, Animals Being Bros isn’t new; I wasn’t able to trace exactly how old it is, but since it appears on this list of the top 50 subreddits anyone will love from DailyTekk, it’s been around at least since February 2014. Either way, though, it’s well worth a few moments of your time, because you guys. Animals being bros. It should be noted that I have yet to determine whether the animals featured are active followers of the Bro Code as set forth by Barney Stinson. They are, however, bros in the “close friends; buds; pals; comradarie” sense, not the “obnoxious partying males who are often seen at college parties” one — and, while we’re on the subject, definitely not in the Seinfeld one (although I suppose the Seinfeld definition does involve a certain relevant "supportiveness," so do with that what you will).
If, for some reason, you’re not into the idea of animals being bros, you might want to check out Animals Being Jerks instead. It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like, which is the polar opposite of Animals Being Bros. I’ll admit that I love them both, although for different reasons: Animals Being Jerks makes me laugh for the same reason the Fuck This Thing in Particular Cat does; Animals Being Bros, meanwhile, appeals to the slightly less curmudgeonly part of me lurking way down in the depths of my soul.
