Joe Manganiello Does Theater, Will Still Be Shirtless

In case you were worried Joe Manganiello was going to trade in his shirtlessness for serious roles, fret no longer! Our main man, famous for his drool-worthy... acting chops will play Stanley Kowalski in the Yale Repertory Theater's production of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire. It's going to take time adjusting to his transition from manly defender of Sookie in True Blood to a rape-y mysogynist Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire. But we will follow Joe to the ends of the earth, so I guess we'll just deal with it.

Although this will be a meaty role for a man who has made his name playing mindlessly sexy parts, he will still take his shirt off. Because he knows as well as we do that no one wants to have to sit through an hour-and-a-half of Joe Manganiello if at least part of it isn't spent imagining yourself licking his 8-pack. Even if he is a great actor. Don't take it personally, Joe, we'd say the same thing about Brad Pitt or Matthew McConaughey. Just for kicks, here's a picture of what you have to look forward to.
