This 'Justified' Actor's Headed to 'Community'

by Alanna Bennett

Dan Harmon is back as the showrunner over at Community and with his return the show soldiers on, continuing its tradition of casting unexpected drama actors for meta sitcom funtimes. This time it's Walton Goggins, previously of Justified, who will be making his Greendale debut this season.

Goggins is set to play Mr. Stone, a mysterious man whose lack of emotions mirrors his name. According to TV Guide, he'll encounter the group with "a dangerous accusation, a tantalizing offer and a devious plan that will change the group forever."

Goggins comes to community from Justified, where he earned an Emmy nomination for his role as Boyd Chowder. Past dramatic actors cast on community include Lost's Josh Holloway (and his golden Disney prince hair), Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito and Jonathan Banks, The Wire's Michael K. Williams, and Clockwork Orange's Malcolm McDowell.

Goggins begins filming his episode next week, and the episode will probably feature a criminal lack of Donald Glover, as Glover negotiated his contract down to only appear in five episodes of this season's slated thirteen.

Before Justified Goggins was known for his role on The Shield, as well as for having a name that sounds like it belongs to an old-timey clockmaker.
