Will Bishop Kill Kalinda on 'The Good Wife'?

by Alex Kritselis

On Sunday night's new episode of The Good Wife , "Red Zone," the tension between Kalinda Sharma and dangerous Chicago drug dealer Lemond Bishop reached a new level. Frankly, I'm starting to get a little worried about Kalinda's safety! True, Kalinda has proven over the course of six seasons that she can handle just about anything life throws at her, but I'm afraid that she may have met her match with Bishop. After all, he's a seriously scary dude who knows how to make people disappear. About a month ago, we learned that the actress who plays Kalinda, Archie Panjabi, will be leaving The Good Wife at the end of Season 6. Since then, fans have been wondering how the character will make her grand exit. Will the show's writers have Bishop kill Kalinda?

It's totally possible. But, if I'm being completely honest, I think that they'll go for something a little more unexpected here. What if, for example, Kalinda kills Bishop? That might be an interesting twist. Or, what if Kalinda is able to give the state's attorney's office the damning evidence they need in order to finally put Bishop away for good? That could be cool, too. At the end of "Red Zone," Kalinda decides to go against Bishop's orders and not stash a possible tracking/recording device in FBI agent Lana Delaney's wallet. It's only a matter of time before Bishop finds out that Kalinda's no longer playing his game — what will happen next?

Bishop has a lot of henchman at his disposal. It would probably be pretty easy for him to track Kalinda down and have her killed (if she's not being careful, that is). Kalinda, on the other hand, doesn't have the same resources. If she's going to take Bishop on, she's going to need to evade him first. Then, she can outsmart him (I hope).

Personally, I don't want Kalinda to bite the dust. She's always been one of my favorite characters, and I'd like to see her story end happily. No one knew that Charles wanted to leave the show at the end of Season 5, so no one saw Will's death coming. It was truly shocking. To the contrary, everyone knows that Panjabi is leaving, so killing off Kalinda wouldn't be a shock — it would be expected. That's my two cents, anyway.

This situation between Kalinda and Bishop looks like it's going to come to a head sooner rather than later. I can't wait to see what happens!
