Oh, Look! Another New Miley Cyrus Song

by Alicia Lutes

Have you had your fill of Miley Cyrus today? Yes/no/always? Well look no further/I'm sorry/you're welcome, as yet another piece of Miley ephemera has hit the Internet, this time in the form of a collaboration with producer Mike Will Made It and rappers Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J called "23." And well, it's a thing! A thing that somebody wearing sunglasses inside some college dorm somewhere will probably want to listen to while holding a Solo cup filled with jungle juice high in the air and simultaneously screaming "aaaaayyyyeeeeee!"

The tune — which is allegedly the final version courtesy of Oh No They Didn't! — is a radio rip, but shows Miley's continued obsession with ingratiating herself with the rap scene.

Lyrically, we're not breaking new ground here, with the refrain declaring much of that I'm-having-fun-drinking-smoking-and-giving-none-of-the-fucks mentality that we hear in 90 percent of songs on the radio today. Miley punchily whine-sings this to party-life: "I'm in the club, high off purp, with some shades on / Tatted up, mini skirt, with my J's on" and the bridge "Put on my J's and dance the whole night away / I’m naughty by nature like I’m hip-hop hooray / With my hands in the sky, I wave ‘em from side to side / My feet on the floor, I’m ’bout to turn up now." It's... probably something, to someone!

I will say this, though. I sort of wish I came up with the phrase "like I'm hip-hop hooray" just because it's clever and I like clever things. Take a listen below.
