The Best Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Outerwear Looks, Because Lucy Hale And Meghan Trainor Know How To Look Cute In The Cold

I'll admit, I'm not an annual devotee of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I have, however, been known to pay attention to the musical performances, and, more importantly, what the singers are wearing. The performers spend upwards of three hours on their floats, and November mornings in New York City are usually pretty chilly (and that's kind of a gross understatement.) Even though I won't have upwards of 50 million people watching me sing next time I'm out in the cold, there are some valuable lessons to be learned from the performers' outerwear looks.

Although I also love watching the Rockettes, I can't really take away much from their costumes, as fun as they are. Trust me, if I lived in Florida, I'd be all over finding a getup similar to that cute candy cane/present inspired leotard they wore today. (Where I'd wear it, I do not know. Too "out there" for a holiday party?) But because I don't, I'm more interested in tracking down the cute coats, gloves, and other cold weather attire that the other performers were wearing, or at least recreating their outfits with similar items.

Here are the performers who are inspiring my future cold weather clothing:

Lucy Hale

Copy Hale's cold-weather look by topping a cream double-breasted coat with a faux fur collar.

Meghan Trainor

Add a little sass to your cold-weather ensemble with a graphic sweater.

Sabrina Carpenter

Singer Sabrina Carpenter (who's also the star of Girl Meets World) kept cozy in a mixed-media coat and a knit beanie.

Kirstin Maldonado

Aside from a pair of gray boot socks, Kirstin Maldonado of Pentatonix went with a classic black-and white ensemble with a belted coat, scarf and hat.
