Singer Eden xo Takes Our Emoji Challenge

Up-and-coming singer Eden xo is about to make her mark on the pop music world. Her inspiring new single, "Too Cool to Dance," was featured on FOX reality competition show So You Think You Can Dance earlier this year, and is currently taking off at Top 40 radio. If you ask me, the song has all the makings of a big hit. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter spoke to Bustle recently about her upcoming debut album, which she says was inspired by early Madonna: “… I’ve written a bunch of songs and now we’re narrowing it down to the album track listing. And I have a title already and I’m very, very excited about it. It’s just so cool to get to collaborate with so many incredible people.”

One of those incredible people is Jesse Shatkin, who scored a major hit earlier this year as the co-writer and producer of Sia's "Chandelier." Eden also says that she worked on “a couple tracks” with Tony Kanal from No Doubt. I can't wait to hear what she cooked up in the studio! Of course, I had to ask Eden to describe her new album for us using nothing but emojis, because... why not? This is how Eden xo answered Bustle's emoji challenge. She went with:

The Party Popper & Confetti

If you've heard "Too Cool to Dance" (and I hope you have!), you know that the song is all about celebrating life. I think we can expect to hear a lot of fun, joyous, and up-tempo tracks on Eden's new record.

The Two Girls Dancing in Black Leotards

Obviously, this album is going to make you want to dance a lot. I'm pretty pumped about that.

The Pink Polka Dot Bikini

Eden is very fashionable (as evidenced by the "Too Cool to Dance" music video), so the inclusion of a classic emoji like the pink polka dot bikini just makes sense.

The Red Lips

Red is a color that's often associated with passion, and lips are made for kissin'. Might Eden's new project feature some steamy songs to smooch to?

The Poop

Eden says that she used the poop emoji simply because she "thinks it's the shit." I can't argue with that.

The Cat With Hearts for Eyes

More smoochin' music, perhaps?

The Pink Heart

Eden says that there are "a lot of love songs" on her new LP. Awww.
