You'll Love Jeremy Scott's Collab with Longchamp

by Rosie Narasaki

So what shenanigans is designer Jeremy Scott up to now? He made major waves at Milan Fashion Week with his eye-searingly bubblegum pink Barbie x Moschino collection, and last year's McDonalds-inspired collection has been proudly touted from everyone from Karen Gillan to Ariana Grande. There's also the absolutely amazingly-packaged Moschino fragrance Toy (how adorable/awesome is that teddy bear perfume?). Yup, Scott has certainly been busy with Moschino — but that doesn't mean he doesn't have time to design awesome pop-art-y limited edition bags: Jeremy Scott for Longchamp is just as amazing as you'd imagine.

You wouldn't necessarily match together the elegantly minimal Longchamp totes with the wild stylings of Jeremy Scott, but the combination is definitely a winning one. Scott designed the brightly-colored tote bags in order to celebrate the brand's opening of a flagship store in the ultra-posh Champs-Élysées area of Paris.

The bag itself features an old-fashioned postcard inspired graphic, styled after the ever-popular "Greetings from Paris" model. As such, the bag features the word "Paris" written in block letters which each serve to illustrate Paris' most well-loved landmarks (Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and the Arc de Triomphe). The graphic is splashed splashed against a blue sky, which also features a kitschy-retro smiling sun, who happens to be pretty endearingly cheerful.

Ah... It's the kind of bag that makes me want to cross an ocean.
