Thank you, once again, I. Marlene King for not disappointing when it comes to a holiday episode. The Pretty Little Liars Christmas episode did not skimp on the reveals and the questions, of course, like the fact that Alison is probably working with Detective Gabriel Holbrook. Say whaaat?! Anyone else freak out a bit when Aria caught Ali k-i-s-s-i-n-g Santa Claus aka Holbrook (or so it seems) at her Ice Ball? Seriously, Ali, you must be drowning in all of your secrets and lies. Not only does it appear that Ali is hooking up with Holbrook, but it seems like she's been doing it for some time now. Is it love? Is Ali just using him (probably)? Well, seeing as Holbrook might have helped CeCe Drake (can you believe she showed up at Ali's ball? crAzy!) escape the country on behalf of Alison, I have a feeling Ali is manipulating the detective like she does with anyone who crosses her path.
When exactly did Holbrook start helping Ali, as Ezra so eloquently asked? Per Emily, and her marvelous investigative skills, that night they were all in New York. However, we still don't know for sure, but I can't wait to learn even more about this other connection. Also, a piece of advice for Holbrook: stay away from Ali, because anyone she touches gets hurt. Good luck!
In other Ali secrets, can we talk about Ghost Mona showing Ali her past as a little girl who also happened to be a skilled pianist? So, those Christmas presents were meant for Ali and who? I'm banking on Bethany or that supposed twin we have all been waiting on to pop up. Whoever it is, Mrs. D. did not want Ali's father finding out that she bought TWO yellow dresses. Of course, we'll have to wait to figure out this ever-growing mystery, but at least we finally learned the birthplace of Ali's lying and secret telling. As Ghost Mona put it, "And the monster was born."
