Just Miley & Britney Talking the VMAs, NBD

It's the best explanation we've heard regarding that whole VMA twerkfest extravaganza. In a new trailer for her upcoming MTV documentary, Miley Cyrus tells Britney Spears that she just wanted to have fun during her Video Music Awards performance. In fact, she says,"I just wanna come out and shoot a hot dog gun." We may never know how that hot dog gun turned into a foam finger fated to sexual exploitation, but it would seem that Miley's intentions when she took the stage at the Barclay's Center were more conscious and deliberate than we may have realized.

Miley goes on to say, "You're always gonna make people talk. You might as well make them talk for like two weeks rather than two seconds."

If that was her goal, we'd like to go ahead and string a "mission accomplished" banner across her private plane, or wherever it is that she spends most of her time, because it's been nearly three weeks since she danced with those oversized teddy bears alongside Robin Thicke and still, still, we're not over it.

We don't wanna say she's a genius or anything, but damn, girl's making shit work for her.

The documentary airs Oct. 2 on MTV. We'll be watching, y'all. For sure.
